CoreELEC is a non-profit, open-source project maintained by a collective of volunteers (Team CoreELEC).
Since CoreELEC is intended for non-commercial use, financial contributions are turned down.
Vendors wanting to use CoreELEC for commercial purposes are required to obtain Team CoreELECs approval prior to doing so.
Vendors wishing to receive official support from Team CoreELEC need to meet following minimum requirements:
Communication between the Vendor and Team CoreELEC is key to providing the results and support required. For this reason a Vendor liaison is to be assigned to Team CoreELEC. Team CoreELEC uses Slack, a business messaging app, to work as one unified team.
To develop and maintain source code or provide support, Team CoreELEC needs physical access to the hardware. Therefore the Vendor is required to make a to be negotiated amount of devices available to the developers and testers at no cost, while also covering any applicable customs, import and other taxes or charges when sending these devices to the participating team members.
Team CoreELEC requires the Vendor to commit to the development cycle by providing access to source code as required. Since CoreELEC is an open source project, Team CoreELEC is unable to sign Non Disclosure Agreements (NDA).
Supported Vendors wanting to be mentioned on our webiste are required to provide Team CoreELEC with consent for using their Vendor Logo.
