Disk Image Writing Software

To create CoreELEC bootable installation media, a software tool is required to format, and write the media to (μ)SD Card or USB Flash Drive.

A 512MB bootable partition will be created for the CoreELEC Operating System. The remaining space is at first boot formatted as storage.

Rufus versions 3.15 to 3.18 contain code preventing Rufus from assigning a drive letter to the finished CoreELEC drive.

Instead use

rufus-3.14.exe 2021-04-30 13:42 1.1M Rufus 3.14
rufus-3.14p.exe 2021-04-30 13:42 1.1M Rufus 3.14 (Portable Version)

or manually assign a Drive Letter in Windows Drive Manager.
